The country has a well-established gambling industry, with land-based casinos, sports betting shops, and online gambling sites. Other countries in the region, such as Nigeria, Kenya, and Ghana, are also experiencing significant growth in their gambling markets.    The overall gambling market including sports betting, online lottery and online casinos in Africa has generated a revenue of 1.62 billion USD with a projected growth of over 8% per year, making it one of the fastest-growing online industries on the continent with a growing number of over 27.5million subscribers. Photo Credit: Getty Images (Countries of West Africa) Warning to ECOWAS Commission and African Union over Republic of Niger West Africa is endowed with natural, mineral and human resources yet one of the poorest regions in Africa 🌍 in terms of human capital development, access to social amenities like water, roads, schools, hospitals, electricity, quality education and healthcare, internet and more. I have travelled around West Africa on road 🛣️ and it is very pathetic to see how our young people are suffering in our cities, towns and villages.   DECLARATION TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT OF GHANA My Beloved Ghanaians, Today, as we celebrate the legacy of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and the Big Six, which marks Founder's Day, I, John Kofi Annan, present myself before you with a profound sense of humility, responsibility and determination to serve the good people of Ghana as President in 2028. Fellow Ghanaian Youths, our nation, Ghana, is a country of great potentials endowed with human and natural resources. With good leadership, Ghana should have been a model of all in Africa and around the world. But I firmly believe that the time has come for us to rebuild a new Ghana for the betterment and prosperity of all Ghanaians. In the pursuit of progress, we must recognize the potentials in us, the youths of Ghana, and the driving force behind our nation's today, tomorrow and the future. As we e...

A Letter to Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah on Ghana Today

Image
Dear Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, I write to you with a heavy heart, as I observe the current state of our beloved Ghana. Your visionary leadership and tireless efforts laid the foundation for our nation's independence, and for that, I am eternally grateful. However, I must express my deep concern about the direction our country has taken since your departure from mother Earth 🌍 to the great beyond... Ghana, once a beacon of hope, progress and prosperity, has unfortunately become a nation plagued by corruption, the rampant looting of national resources, excessive debts, and a concerning lack of good governance. The dreams you had for our people's prosperity and well-being are now overshadowed by an atmosphere of greed, impunity and selfishness of political cohorts. Corruption has seeped into the very fabric of our society, eroding the trust between the government and her citizens. National resources that should have been used for the betterment of all are being siphoned off...
